Shanghai Brochure

I was tasked to create a travel brochure. I created a trifold brochure and designed both sides. I realized that as a world traveler I could pick any of the destinations I have been to but wanted to pick a destination that I truly cared about and knew most of the information that belongs on a travel brochure.

I designed the layout first, with many different designs. I didn’t want it to be boring or too intricate. I also needed to make sure I incorporated the principles of design, emphasis, balance, contrast, repetition, proportion, movement, and white space. I added images, that I had taken and previously edited to get the best feel to them. I added the text and added the word “Shanghai” in Mandarin to bring the entire piece together.

I enjoyed using my creative abilities to create a brochure about a destination that I love.
